Bringing AI to Everyday Work – Speaking at Ilmarinen

It was a real pleasure to speak at Ilmarinen, one of Finland’s leading pension and employment wellbeing companies, about how AI can become a real teammate at work, not just a technical experiment.

In the session, we focused on the practical side of AI adoption: how to move beyond pilots, integrate AI into everyday workflows, and build a culture where people continuously learn and grow with these new tools.

My core message was simple: using AI responsibly is part of long-term sustainability. It’s how organizations ensure that their people and processes stay relevant in a rapidly changing world.

Ilmarinen’s approach to AI is a great example of this mindset. They don’t see AI as a side project, but as an enabler of smarter work and better wellbeing. Their leadership truly invests in helping employees understand and use AI as part of their daily work. That’s what makes real change possible.

Why this matters for your organisation

  • People-first adoption: AI works best when tied to real roles, genuine problems and continuous skill-building, not hype or isolated pilots.
  • Everyday integration: When AI becomes part of the normal workflow, employees see it as a colleague rather than as a looming threat.
  • Sustainable culture: The most successful transformations don’t stop at “launching” an AI agent. They implement processes, metrics and learning loops so that the organisation adapts over time.

Organisations like Ilmarinen show exactly this mindset: they’re building the future of working life in Finland by combining technology, responsibility and employee growth.
